a. Thinking about the class and posting to the discussion forum last week make me feel very engaged with everybody in class. We had very good conversations through the general assembly where each gave their own opinion.
b. It only takes yourself to improve who you are. We learn from people how we should be and what we should change, but if we do not want to make a change nothing will change. The change is evidence of growth and maturity. Of course I am using change here as a good aspect. It is not that easy when changes occur, but you will always be rewarded in the end. Is quite satisfying.
c. I have learned that no matter the time or place, that writing is something that does not change. For example, Thomas Jefferson’s writings about war could relate to the war over seas right now.
d. I think the discussion forum last week was very interesting, lots of students participated and gave their opinions. Each one with an opinion but all engaged with the class.
e. None.
f. I think what surprised me the most was not the writings but the class itself. I was surprised that so many people had similar thoughts about the writings and quotations. Usually I have a very distinct way of thinking but I was very happy to see that I agreed with most people. From topics ranging to religion through the United States democratic influences overseas.
